If you've never experienced the Oculus Rift, let me just say - it's trippy as balls, which is handy because now you see how people react to balls via the Oculus Rift (video below).
Short version, this headset gives a fairly significant virtual reality experience so that if you turn your head the scenery shifts so that it feels like you are turning your head in a real environment. I did a flight sim on the Oculus Rift and nearly fell off my chair because I got pretty disorientated.
